ATPs are vital to the transplant team and community, and ASTS recognizes their service to the transplant professionals and transplant patients through the ATP Award. This award recognizes the individual for their time and effort dedicated to advancing clinical practice through translation of scientific information, development of standards, and clinical mentoring by the ATP.
Award Amount: The award recipient will receive $1,500 honorarium, hotel accommodations for three nights (room and tax only), and all-access registration to the Winter Symposium.
Eligibility
- ASTS Associate Member
- Advanced Practice Providers, Transplant Coordinators, and/or those with equivalent degrees such as Masters or Doctorate, PhD, PharmD, and other specialties.
- May not be the ASTS ATP award recipient within the last five years
Submission Requirements
- Nomination letter (500 words maximum, include full name and institution). Self-nominations are accepted. The nomination letter should highlight:
- Leadership qualities (professional, college, community activities including presentations, community work, and publications)
- Contribution to the advancement of the transplant field, science, and/or practice
- Immediate and long-term goals and/or accomplishments
- CV or resume
Review Criteria
Applications will be scored based on but not limited the following criteria:
- Academic Contributions: Demonstrates academic contributions through publication, public speaking, or committee involvement.
- Enrichment: Enriches transplantation by demonstrating leadership as a mentor in achieving excellence.
- Mission: Furthers the ASTS mission through project initiates that benefit patients and promotes education.
- Promotes: Consistently promotes evidence-based patient driven excellence.
- Role Model: Serves as a role model in communication, multidisciplinary collaboration, and decision making.
- Developed and /or managed projects leading to improved health care and management of patient within the transplant paradigm.
- Directs and guides health care that produces measurable outcomes in a community/organizational setting.
